What is chess? Chess is a two-player board game for all ages. In some countries chess is also considered as sport, for your brain. As any sport your brain need exercises. This a very old game is believed to have originated in 1475AD as a modified version of circa 1000AD game. Yes, long time ago.

It is played on a square board of 8 rows and 8 columns, giving 64 squares of alternating colour, white and black. Each player begins the game with 16 pieces, makes move and captures other pieces on the board in a unique way: eight pawns, two knights, two bishops, two rooks, one queen, and one king. One player controls the white pieces, while the other is in charge of the black ones. The goal of the game is to achieve checkmate by capturing the opponent's king.
